You currently have a host-only AdSense account

Question  

I have an Ad-sense account for my YouTube channel, but now  I am trying to use this account for my website too, but this message shows up when I try to use the Adsense for my site "You currently have a host-only AdSense account. Please visit the AdSense help centre for instructions on how to show ads on this site. " Just let you know I have placed the code in my pages but my question is : how to change my account type? if I cancel my Adsense account and create another one, what will happen to my Youtube videos and what will happen to my current balance? 

Answer

You don't want to cancel your account - but you do have to have your hosted account upgraded
